There are literally hundreds of supposed solutions advertisd on the internet. I’ve tried one-telephone counselling- without much success-and at considerable cost. I’m looking for advice from others who have researched this issue and perhaps successfulyy resolved their phobia.

Is there a way to get over a fear of flying?

I have a total phobia about heights in general and flying in particular. I can’t even get on a ladder without being able to hold onto something else. I get dizzy and nauseated when I have a seat that is too high up in a stadium with the vertical seating such as the United Center in Chicago. I really want to get over the fear of flying. My husband travels frequently for business to Europe and Japan and he really wants me to go with him.

Extreme fear of public speaking?

Like many people, I have a major phobia of public speaking. I am however, a little bit different. For instance, I am NOT at all a shy person, I am very outgoing and love to socialize, but when it comes to taking a public speaking class, or even just thinking about taking a class, I get really upset. Most of the time I will begin to panic and tears will fall from my eyes, I truly cannot control these reactions.

I recently remembered an instance in which my mother gave me an anti anxiety pill once during a mandatory presentation during my senior year of high school (the previous times in high school, even being a straight "A" student, I would always no matter what, take an "F" for the assignments that involved any kind of presentation).

I obviously need some kind of help. I’ve read many books and am now on my THIRD public speaking class (I ran out of the first two crying), and this is the last chance my college is going to give me and without this class I cannot obtain my degree. This nonsense has help me back for too long, I need something that I know will work for sure this semester, medication. Who would I go to for such medication? My primary physician? Thank you.a

How to overcome public speaking fear?

im 14, hate school so much and dread particular lessons because of my phobia of reading out loud in front of the class. I can read out infront of my friends and sometimes can read out infront of the class but only if i feel that not everybody is actually watching me/all their chairs are faced exactly to where i am orr if i read a little bit then someone else reads then comes back to me and so on. i cant read longer than a 2 sentance paragraphy before getting really nervous, going bright red, shaking, feeling sick or feeling like i just wanna break down there and then and just stop everything. its my worst fear, i wish i could read out infront of a load of people and not get worried or emabress myself. please can anyone suggest antyhing that might help me overcome my fear and how to stop nerves taking you over? x

HELP! Anyone have a fear of Public Speaking?

I am a woman who needs advice concerning public speaking. I have a phobia when it comes to speaking in front of an audience. There is even a name for it- Glossophobia. I literally start to panic. I become extremely nervous and feel light headed. My heart races a mile a minute, and I start to feel nauseous. I stutter and start fidgeting a lot too. Unfortunately, I have to give presentations and speak in front of groups of people often. I thought I would get use to it by now. It’s so bad, that I can’t sleep the night before a presentation. Does anyone have any tips? What is something you do in order to get through speaking in front of an audience?

I’m looking for serious answers, please. Thanks!
